Hey guys,
While the active membership of this forum isn't extremely high, this forum has history. There are members on here that have been with the community since 2001 and helped spread the word about Matt and his activities. I would like to see The Rentals adopt the board and take over the membership, but ultimately it's up to you guys. I plan on taking the main site down and put up a one page with two links. One to The Rentals website and another to the forum.
What does the membership think? Should The Rentals adopt this forum? Yay or nay?

I say yay, let it be adopted. Theirs plenty of good information on the band around here no point in letting that go to waste.

It's pretty much up to Kyle and the guys at therentals.com
Hopefully he'll see this thread and send me a request for the info. With the new albums coming out, it would be good if they had a central place of discussion for the fans. We'll see what they do.

hey all..
i would love to link to this board at some point but i don't think it will happen soon. the band and new designers are keeping the new site sleek and without a board. i'm not sure why there is a forum and community link when there's only a community and no forum. but anyway, i'm glad to see any activity here and i do read this board often. the new songs are sounding really great. they're evolving every day and turning into something really special.

Kyle, let me know if they ever change their mind. I will give them all the info for the board which they can export to their own forum system and design it in whatever way they want.

yeah the old crew still lurks from time to time. i do love the new idea of a mixed media project but think they could expand on it more to include the fans. fan submitted photos or something.

all those ideas are definitely up in the air joshua. we're just putting all our ducks in a row before we launch any half baked interactive idea. There are some cool things in development for more fan interaction at the moment though. |

Hi,
now the first chapter is out, the forum should be referenced from the official site.
This way, fans around the world could share a common place to talk about the new album (as stated before, the actual side offers only one-side communication).

Hi, To bad, it seems they have a forum after all. It is just not referenced (yet) on the official site. http://www.simplegiantway.com/phpBB3/index.php(just try http://www.simplegiantway.com/ , does it remind you something...) It seems to be dead with some bots registered (have a look at the funny birthday congratulations: JtOsMbotD (38), CialisViagraBuyy (30)). (maybe they do not reference it because there is almost no activity) Our forum has much more activity and much more interest in songs about time. Regards |
