Anyone here have any in-depth knowledge of all the equipment the Rentals used on the FIRST album?  I saw them live opening for alanis morrisette years ago, and noticed the guitar player using a Fender Jazzmaster if memory serves me, but I'd like to know what guitars he used in the making of the record.  Pedals, amp settings, an ideas would help.  The guitar tone for "Friends of P" is absolutely mind-blowing, and I'd love to replicate it for home recordings.  ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Rod used a big muff pedal didn't he? And an Air Line guitar, kind of like what Jack White uses. Matt used his same Weezer bass/amp from that era, I'm guessing.

Can you get Reason 3.0 to simulate the Moog synth sound?  If so, what is the name of the sound bank?
