Hola everyone Just thought I'd attempt to bring a little life to these boards... I just got a copy of the 7MM demo on eBay (see pictures below) and was wondering if anyone knew any information about it (what tour it was given out at, if anyone else has one, etc.). It cost me about $7 because I had to buy Staind and NMSO4 tapes along with it too (I know, I feel terrible claiming to own those tapes), so I'd say overall not a bad deal. It seems to be in its original cover, and I almost feel bad about opening it to listen to it. But yeah, just thought I'd let people know about my cool little discovery in a place where it could be appreciated. -jwp

Hi, Sorry I have no info on your 7MM demo tape, but I have another question on almost the same subject, so (to help keeping this board alive) I put it in this thread too. Does anybody knows if the advanced CD ("promotional copy not for sale") made by Maverick for 7MM is different from the final version of the album? According to the CD cover (please see photo below), it is only 14 tracks long (missing track 15 "jumping around"). Is there any other difference, I mean are the others songs different from final versions? Thanks in advance. (By the way, it seems that the original French edition of 7MM was only 12 tracks long (I found various second hand offers on the web clearly stating this); the French edition is no longer available, and I cannot find the track listing to find out the differences with the 15 tracks long version, any info would be appreciated) Regards (Sorry, I do not know the story behind the girl kissing on the tape (I suppose she is the Spanish girl he met in Barcelona))

Hi, Looking for info I came across the following about The Rentals Demo Tape in weezer history : http://www.weezer.com/info/tunes/index07.htmlquoting directly: "Title: Getting By label: ? id#: released: April 1999 format: cd, cassette songs: Getting By, (others?) notes: Promo single that came out in CD and cassette formats, cassette in cardboard printed sleeve. Unclear if there were other tracks on these. " end of quote It seems you have more info than Karl Koch , you know the 2 songs on the tape are "Getting By" and "Hello, hello". Regards

Thanks a lot for the info. (I was thinking of buying this advanced CD on internet, but I already own the standard version of the CD) Regards

Hi, Could someone provide some info (track list, difference,...) on this one? (The CD reference (something like "cd advance 2-46680-AB") seems to be different from the white-pink one ("9362-46680-2")) Thanks in advance. Regards

It's the American promo CD. Same track list, same versions of the songs. The white and pink one is from Europe (made in Germany - though my copy is supposedly from Sweden).

Hi, Thanks again for the information. (by any chance, do you know something about the official 7MM french release which seems to include only 12 tracks?) Regards

Unfortunately, I don't have any info about the French pressing. I'm still trying to hunt down the elusive Japanese pressing.
