I just got out of bed, way too sleepy to function properly in everyday-life... Now I'm as energetic as a horny bumblebee! This news is so great, especially since I was enjoying 7MM so much yesterday  Thanks a lot, The Rentals, I'm eagerly waiting for the new sounds! |

I also think that the new Rentals could be huge, as the new wave sound is the new "it" thing in popular music. Who better to dominate the new wave revival than the original founders of the movement? Fuck yeah!

I'm sure Matt extended the invitation to both of them, but with Maya's SNL schedule (and new baby!) and Cherie's busy lifestyle, I'm not sure either of them would have time to tour again |

Yeah, finally had the time to expore the site a bit, and I'm getting very enthousiastic about the fact that the Rentals will be back with some new material and hopefully a gig in Belgium It's about the same post I made earlier this day, but it's just great that one of my favorite bands will be back on track. Good luck with the 3rd album! |

YES!!! First of all I must say that I'm very very glad...I was totally shocked as I opened mattsharp.net to check if there are any news (what I didn't expect), and I saw: "THE SYSTEMS FAILED_". What? I checked therentals.com what I haven't done for a long time and the same thing. At that point I was getting nervous. Did they come together? Hours later I could open the offical homepage and couldn't believe my eyes. They are back!!! I'm excited for the new songs and to see you on Tour, I think it was a good choice to RETURN. i hope he brings cherie and maya back to the group.
By the way: Isn't it clear WHO exactly The Rentals are, I mean who the members are? |

I am so damn excited. I busted out Return and 7MM today for the first time in god knows how long. I forgot how amazing those albums are-I cannot wait to hear their new sound. I've gone from skepticism to complete elation. I also think that the new Rentals could be huge, as the new wave sound is the new "it" thing in popular music. Man if the Rentals become mainstream, im gonna have a field day with everybody I know, cause The Rentals is aboute all I ever talk aboute when it comes too music. |

eh, ive like never bin on the Wezer forums, even after all the begging my sister does. But I did get too see them in concert when they came around Houston with Foo Figthers, and Mae.    Great concert |
