So, anyone else get the limited deluxe boxset? I was March 30.
I got June 4th. I laughed a little bit when I saw the VIP thing was an invitiation. For some reason I pictured getting 2 VIP passes. I was planning on walking around like I was in Wayne's World. Haven't been able to listen to the records yet as my turntable is at my folks house. I can't remember which B-side I was listening to last night (had to be chapter 3), but it sounded like something from Matt's solo album. But I've really been enjoying the film scores. |

Got mine. I'm May 22. The set is super nice, I love it! I read on here someone else got the vinyl and they were mixed up. This was also the case with my set. No big problem though, just put the correct records in the correct sleeves. The B Side songs are awesome and fit in great with what we have already heard. Didn't realize they would be on the cds and not just on the vinyl, so that was a HUGE plus. Anyways, it was worth the extra wait. I hope they or some incarnation of the rentals will tour. This is amazing material they have created and deserves not only a tour, maybe a physical less expensive release. More people need to see and hear this project.

just got mine yesterday. everything is beautiful, except my albums are misprinted: Chapter I is actually Chapter II, II is III and IV is IV. anyone else having this problem?

 i love "stardust" and "honey life" on the film archive hope they will sell the b-sides on the site or someone share that songs i bought all the chapters but i don´t have money to buy the box set |

A new site is online at http://www.therentals.com/, but they're only offering remastered versions of the previously released tracks; no b-sides  Could anybody upload 'Thought Of Sound' for me, from the b-sides? It'd be much appreciated. Cheers! |

Hey everyone,
I got May 12 in the mail a few weeks ago. Overall, I agree it's pretty awesome but there are some organizational problems and mistakes in the details. Speaking of... has anyone tried to email management@therentals... (the email address from the card) about getting in touch with them about the 'song about time' special event?
I've tried a few times and the email just bounces.

Hi all,
I just received my deluxe edition pack here in Spain.
It costed me $189.95 (that's $125.00 for the deluxe pack + $64.95 for shipping).
But it comes with extra custom duties (at least here in Spain) : + $53.00.
So the total price was $242.95 (for just the deluxe edition, I do not want to think about how much would cost the limited deluxe edition in that case...)
So be ready for extra cost if you order it.
(on top of that, the box was damaged during transport and repacked by DHL)

mentioned SAT in my post today but thought I'd also throw a post up here. I was a little bummed like some of you about the signature only being on the film card, but in the end that is a non-issue for me. Overall I love my limited deluxe edition. Considering that they put this entire project together themselves, I'm not surprised or upset about delays. It gave me more time to build up the courage to part with so much cash javascript:void(0);

Man oh men!
I am not a happy bunny. I got my deluxe box set last May (Sep 14th) and i still havent been able to listen to it... well 2 of the 4 cds wont play and i cant rip them to my pc... gutted.
After spunking after spunking the $275 + shipping to Spain and then 50e on other such taxes (about $360 in total!) and i cant flipping listen to them. Also i didnt get my downloads... ever!
Ive tried emailing Topspin (4 or 5 times), my user id and password do not work on their site, and i havent heard anything from them. Also tried mailing the band themselves through their site and myspace etc. But nothing at all!
Seriously pissed off. Can anyone help at all or have any ideas as to what to do next?
