the old school rentals performing waiting (most likely the 1995 San Jose show)

this video is amazing to me for some reason. Its the Rentals performing "getting by" in Japan July 17th. Its performed with the Japanese band AJIKAN. Those Japanese go crazy for the rentals.
also some guy recorded a few rentals/matt sharp solo songs and put them on youtube. Could help someone out if they are looking for helping playing a song.

Wow that was a great performance of Getting By. I wish they would have played that this summer, the place would have gone ca-razy (well, crazier). Where are these other videos you speak of?

wow lol.. that was an amazing proformance in japan somewhere....

I wonder if they will play more on a stage setting in their next tour as opposed to bar enviroment.  With the more melody and open ranged instrument's it makes more common sense to play staged ouside.  I'll be waiting for the rentals cookoff '08

The Videos were great thanks for sharing Josh, did anybody take the time to read the comments people were leaving about the video.

Gotoh - "Lol, the guy from Weezer "
Narotouzu101 - "Whats with the white people"
Fuzz767 - "the over-eager white guys were a tad weird...the japanese ones i lurve.."
Spidermonkey008 - "wow, that's kind of funny. The song is catchy and nice"

i think you are missing the main point that japanese people love the rentals. maybe we should redo the site in japanese to have a bigger fanbase?

kevin what did you think of that guys videos

As long as theirs no anime. I can't fucking stand that shit.

As for that guys videos... today I listened to Seven More Minutes on my way home from school for the first time in ages. As I was listening to 'Overlee' all I heard was his shitty singing.
