With the recent announcement of the tour, I've gotten a lot of emails from people that want to join the street team. The timing couldn't be better because we need you guys to spread the word of The Rentals Summer Touring plans. So to make this go as smooth as possible, I've enlisted Patrick Boland to take over the reins of the street team this time around.
Patrick would you like to introduce yourself?
Attention Street Team members! My name is Patrick Boland and I am lucky enough to spearhead the street team for the Last Little Life tour. I have heard so many great things about everyone from Kyle and I can’t wait to get started.
This is such an exciting time to be a Rentals fan. There is new music coming out (which I have heard and yes, it is amazing) and extensive touring. This all means the band needs your help! The people who do the most promoting in each tour market will get to take part in a meet and greet with the band!
Here is what needs to be done:
1. We need to start calling local radio stations and requesting the new Rentals tracks. 2. We need to start putting up posters and handing out flyers anywhere you think might help the band…record shops, malls, etc…
There is a new Web site created to help make things more clear and provide the tools to help you promote the band!
The Complex Web site is a sort of headquarters for street teamers.
You will be able to:
1. upload concert photos 2. upload photos showing the fine work being done 3. view photos sent in by fans 4. gather promotional materials 5. Touch base with fellow street team members in your area to see what work still needs to be done 6. Relive the Rentals live experience well after the show is over!
