I saw Polka Dot Dot Dot about 2 weeks ago and it was amazing, I got the whole thing on tape so once I find a place to upload the videos I'll link them.

Also anybody planning on going to SXSW this year?

I saw Ted Leo and the Pharmacist in Houston last Saturday. Really good show, but could have been better if the sound guy would have turned up the vocals, the show felt like it was all instrumental.

lame. you guys should have rioted.

here's the rundown of folks I took shots of at SXSW:

Annilihation Time
Ben Harper and the Relentless 7
Dressy Bessy
Girl in a Coma
Gomez
Gravy Train
Meat Puppets
Parachute
Peel
PJ Harvey featuring John Parish
Razorlight
Shout out out outs
St Vincent
The Akron Family
The Mae Shi
White Lies
Yearbook Pictures
Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer

my favorite show out of it all was PJ harvey and john parish.
just about everything I could have wanted it to be.
an "I can die now" kind of thing.
I could write about the rest, but maybe later if I have time.
the pictures I took are on flickr: SXSW collection

No Age
The Mae Shi
Ponytail
Mika Miko
Finally Punk
Monotonix
Lucero
The Thermals
Thao with the Get Down Stay Down
Abe Vigoda
Circle jerks
King Khang and the Shrines
Black Lips
Deer Tick
Wavves

I almost went to a PJ Harvey show, the one where they were opening for 3rd Eye Blind. But it was $30 so we decided not to.

you definitely would have made it in.
I think everyone was there for pj harvey.
as soon as she was done about 4/5ths of the crowd shuffled out.
think the line up after her was indigo girls then 3rd eye blind.
I left to see gravy train!!.
they were pretty awesome.
I was kind of curious to see 3eb but i figure if they were at sxsw
they would probably be touring and putting something new out again soon anyways.
and the circle jerks played?
that's pretty awesome. didn't know they were still around.

When I got to the PJ Harvey show the line of none wrist bands went down the street and around the corner. And we got there a few minutes before it was suppose to start. So I doubt we would have made it in if we tried.

Yeah I think the Circle Jerks thing was kind of a lets go play one show for fun, kind of thing. It was funny to see all the punks just arrive in masses and then leave right after.

This year I saw 311 two nights ago, Hootie and the Blowfish couple months ago. June I saw Weezer/Pixies at Summerfest.  August was bitchin, I went to Ozzfest, Gigantour (Megadeth), & Brian Wilson.  And in 2 days I'll be seeing Matt

I saw Z02/Fozzy at BB Kings.
Met Vinnie Paul from Pantera/Damage Plan in the audience, though I felt bad for the old couple that was sitting down trying to eat dinner. Then again they need to choose their dining locations better.

also bought tickets to see Faith No More in Brooklyn
