Wilco - On and On and On
Has anybody gotten a good chance to listen to the new Bright Eye's? I found it was really easy to get into.

I thought it was uneven. It had it's moments but... I mean, every tune on I'm Wide Awake was great, I can't say that for this album. And I miss how he use to sing, with all the jitter. Oh well. I was hoping for something more country. I was hoping this would be his Harvest or Nashville Skyline, which, with "Four Winds" is what it sounded like it was going to be. My main problem is that one slow song with all the strings. I can't remember the name. I just remember thinking "oh yeah this is nice" and waiting and waiting for the song to pick up but it doesn't even go anywhere, it just sits there being boring. Oh well, it's still a good album, "If The Breaker Man Turns My Way" is a great song. Sky Blue Sky is still my favorite album of this year, so far.

"Where am I bound" from The Ram by Rich Shapero ( http://richshapero.com/). I didn’t know what to think when I first started listening to it. It’s definitely something different from the norm. All the tracks on it feature Shepero’s haunting vocals and dangerous guitar playing, backed with plenty of other talented musicians including Marc Ribot. It was all mastered wonderfully by Bob Ludwig. I wont beat around the bush, it’s not too easy to get into; it’s not the kind of music you can just slip in and rock out to. It challenges you to think differently about things, which is something that not everyone can handle but many can enjoy. I’d suggest looking into it.

i'm giving my first listen to the new beastie boys album. it's entirely instrumental and so far better than the last one [which i guess doesn't mean much... that album was a huge disappointment].

Yeah pretty much. Well, not die. But I thought I was dying. I didn't eat all weekend and I didn't get any sleep the night before and my legs went all jelly and everything I heard was high pitched and fuzzy. I could see but I couldn't make sense at what I was looking at. I don't know what happened to me but it turned me off from every trying acid.
