The New Pornographers - The Bleeding Heart Show

(I promise I won't make fun of anyone... unless it's something really really bad, then I can't help myself).

(Sorry Kevin, everytime I saw "too" it made me cringe... had to correct your grammar.)

Oh man, I hate hate hate hate hate jazz.
I understand music harmony better then anyone I know. I love fucked up chords. 9ths? FUCK YES! #11s? HARDER BABY! But... jazz sounds like the same thing as wankster-guitar rock to me. I mean, sure, you can play fast, and sure, you can play notes outside of the scale, it's physically impressive, but... doesn't sound good to my ears.
Also the timbre of the muted trumpet is one of my least favorite sounds in the world.

But that's all just my opinion. I'm not going on record and saying "yeah Miles Davis sucks as does all jazz".

So in conclusion, listen to Beulah. Oh and The New Pornographers are pretty cool too. Vancouver represent!

Radiohead - Everything In It's Right Place

Kid A is one of my three favorite albums of this decade so far. The other two being Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and Sea Change.
