Anyone read for enjoyment?
I have a tv but don't get reception (don't like the distraction with school and all)
that's hooked up to a game or two. To pass the time I usually pick up a book.

I've just finished up Micheal Cricton's State of Fear book which was fun to read though
I don't really agree with the message (the harmful things we're doing to the environment
really isn't affecting it on any meaningful scale)
I even was watching tv (at my folks) where a senator was argueing against global warming
and any initiatives about cutting pollution (he was from oklahoma, strong oil state)
and telling everyone to read that book.
Also I finished Finding George Orwell in Burma, a book that follows the noted author of
Animal farm and 1984 throughout his travels in Burma and how ironically Burma (or as it's called
today myanmar) has turned into the same paranoid environment described in 1984 by the authoritarian
government's rewriting of it's history and totally big brother sentiment that's now common in
the country, the book has alot of burma's residents referring to George as 'the prophet'.
it's a great book, and if anyone would like to pick up some interesting nonfiction to read
I would definitely reccommend it.
Right now I'm reading through One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, and no I haven't seen the movie.
I'm trying to finish it up before school starts up next week, and no I'm not ready for school.
