i think that's probably all of 5 people that are really on this board.
so hey. why not talk about whatever.
I went rollerskating for the first time in about 15 years a week or two ago.
the refs for the local roller girls have been trying to get me on skates,
i think so they can recruit me as another ref.
but it's a blast. i'm thinking of buying my own skates.
I've taken to going to the rink and skating for a couple hours on sundays
and i'd really like to learn to skate backwards.

good time at rudys.

The place on 9th ave with the pig statue out in front?

I've been working way too much, and it's cutting into my drinking time. Which means I've been angry and listening to angry music

I transfered to Texas Tech University and now I am in the middle of nowhere. I also started working at the college radio station and I have a show from 8am to 10am on Sunday.

Yeah its my first semester working there so I don't really get a lot of freedom on what I can play. I kind of have to work my way to the top so I can get a good show and I get to pick what goes on my show.

Its not that bad the music is pretty good most of the time so its not like I am sitting there wishing my shift would end already. And at the beginning of every shift this guy calls in every time requesting Johnny Cash, Sunday Morning Coming Down.

I went to a place called the Dakota Roadhouse last week (most likely because the name reminds me of that Patrick Swayze movie Roadhouse), and I had a great time pissing people off by playing Willie Nelson & Joe Cocker. But then that makes me think what do people have against Wille Nelson & Joe Cocker??

hahah. patrick swayze.
it's probably not a cool thing to admit.
but i can belt out she's like the wind by patrick swayze.
i blame working and having to listen to adult contemporary music while washing dishes back in my younger days.

Hi guys, figured I'd post in this thread since It's already around.
I'm busy not having a job and looking for something to do with my degree.
I'm an electrical engineer, but I'm having problems finding anything
without experience.
I guess I should blame the economy.
Thinking about doing grad school.
how about all y'all?

Hi,
I am still working in Madrid (Spain).
So I am quite lucky, taking into account that currently there are 4 millions of unemployed people in this country, that's more than 17% of the active people (active people=working+unemployed).
The weather is quite hot lately (continental one), with something like 90 degrees Fahrenheit by night.
Next week, I will go back to France on holidays. I will try to do some body-board on the west coast there during one week for the second time in my life.
Hope you will find a job.
Regards

I've been on break from school for a few weeks now and in the time I moved in to this house were I don't have any internet so that's why I haven't posted on these forums for a while now. I still don't have any internet but in my time away I got my self a girl friend so I'm using her internet now.

I was reading my last few post in this thread and I noticed that I talked about working at the local college radio station. Well we got shutdown because of budget reasons, or at least that's what they tell us.

Well I suppose I will make a rare appearance because I'm bored and have nothing else to do. I got married in June and got a house with my husband. I coach swimming and am trying to get a full time elementary teaching job since getting laid off due to the school district being political. Currently I am substitute teaching, but school doesn't start for another week. I do miss the days when this board was still alive...
