I don't know where to place posts about cover songs here.

Anyways, what I hope to do in a pipe dream is a cover of the Alan Parsons Project song "I, Robot" (1977), using the two Moog synths the Rentals famously used -- the Opus-3 and the Source -- as well as the Wurlitzer EP200 (the electric piano favored by Supertramp) and the Hohner Clavinet D6 clavinet. I also intend to transpose the song's key down one whole step so as to near the key used for the Rentals' second single, "Waiting."

Here is a rundown of what keyboards go where:
Wurlitzer EP200 - electric piano track
Hohner Clavinet D6 - clavinet track
Moog Source - synth bass track, synth leads
Moog Opus-3 - strings

If this were to be covered by the Rentals in their own special way, Lauren and/or Rachel would do the soprano vocals, Matt would play bass and synths, Rachel would play the Wurlitzer and clavinet, and Lauren would add violin ... what do you think?

Regards,

Ben (RamblinMan1981)
